Wishlist - submissions may not contain working URLs (Squarespace bug)
Summary
A Squarespace bug (ref 8718353), first detected in June 2023, causes links to products to be removed when a user deletes a product from the cart/list page. You'll notice that the submission includes broken product links that may be displayed as "null".
What causes this issue?
You'll probably notice that this issue only occurs with some submissions. This is because product links only break when a customer removes a product from their wishlist/cart just before they submit it. When they do this, a Squarespace bug causes all the product links on the page to be deleted. As a result, the Wishlist submission will not include any product links and they may appear as "null" instead. As this issue is caused by a Squarespace fault it is beyond our control and must be fixed by the Squarespace Engineering team.
If your submission does not contain other product details such as the product name, and you purchased your Wishlist plugin before 2024, then this may be caused by a different issue.
When will this be fixed?
We have asked Squarespace to fix the issue (since June 2023!) but it is not high on their priority list.
Workaround
A temporary workaround is to ask your customer to submit the list again. If they submit it a second time (without removing any further items) it should be submitted with the product links.
