This article explains what to do if your users see the red message "Unable to submit form. Please try again later." when trying to submit a form on your Squarespace website.
Squarespace is not compatible with "in-app" browsers
This error usually occurs when a user is viewing your Squarespace website using the default "in-app browser" within a mobile app for a social network, usually Instagram or Facebook. If you are advertising on Instagram or Facebook, it is likely that users will launch your site in the app's own browser and experience this issue.
Please note that
this error indicates a compatibility issue with Squarespace (specifically Squarespace Form Blocks) and is not an issue with our products such as the Wishlist plugin or Product Enquiry Form plugin. As this is not caused by our products, we cannot resolve this for you but we do offer a workaround (see below). If you require help with Squarespace error, please contact Squarespace directly.
Workarounds
These in-app browsers can be a real problem as they are not compatible with Squarespace websites. This is because these non-standard browsers can break many features on modern websites, including blocking code that is required to submit a form.
Although you cannot make an "in-app browser" compatible with Squarespace, we do strongly recommend that you add a message to your website that asks affected users to select the "external browser" option. We've produced some
